Ferrellgas Discount for County Employees, Seniors, Military and Veterans

Propane is a commodity and pricing fluctuates. The discount price is the LDC (Logical Daily Cost) – the price per gallon delivered to the storage facility at commodity pricing - plus the addition of $0.50/gallon for Sept 1, 2026, through Aug 31, 2027, comprises the discounted price for county employees, veterans, and seniors.

Park County hopes this provides meaningful savings.

• Price Per Gallon
  • September 1^st 2026 thru August 31^st 2027- $0.50/gallon over LDC
  • September 1^st 2027 thru August 31^st 2028- $0.55/gallon over LDC
  • September 1^st 2028 thru August 31^st 2029- $0.60/gallon over LDC
  • LDC will be chosen by Ferrellgas based on delivery address and where we will most likely be drawing out of storage for deliveries and can be changed based on the discretion of Ferrellgas.
  • LDC stands for Logical Daily Cost and is Ferrellgas cost per gallon to get the product into that storage facility.
    • Oversight and Verification of Pricing-
      • While a pricing agreement remains in effect, Park County BOCC elected officials or their appointed representative can request LDC verification. Ferrellgas will provide this information in person within 14 days of the request. This information will remain private and confidential as it is competitively sensitive information. 
• Eligibility
  • Must be a Ferrellgas customer and abide by the Customer Agreement
  • Ferrellgas reserves the right to refuse or terminate service at any time for any reason
  • Account must remain in good standing. Past Due accounts will be removed from the pricing agreement. Ferrellgas reserves the right to reinstate the pricing agreement at Ferrellgas’s sole discretion
  • Ferrellgas has sole responsibility and final decision for determining eligibility 
  • Site Checks will be required for all new and existing Ferrellgas customers entering into this pricing agreement. The pricing agreement will go into effect on the day of the site check. Any previously billed gallons will not be rebilled for any reason. 
  • Park County Employees with an active @parkcountyco.gov email address and within our current coverage area. 
  • Park County Senior Citizen Residents age 62 and over with the delivery address within Park County
    • New and Existing Customers – Email parkcountycoseniors@ferrellgas.com
      • A Ferrellgas employee will verify age through a visual inspection of a valid and current government issued Photo ID during the site check
  • Park County Active Military Residents and Honorably Discharged Veteran Residents with the delivery address within Park County
    • New and Existing Customers – Email parkcountycomilitaryandvets@ferrellgas.com
      • A Ferrellgas employee will visual inspection of a valid and current Military ID for Active Military during the site check
      • A Ferrellgas employee will verify Honorably Discharge Veterans eligibility through a visual inspection of a valid and current Colorado issued Photo ID showing Veteran on the ID or a visual inspection of their DD214 during the site check
• Installation- No charge for standard swap. Inclusions and restrictions:
  • Delivery of Lease Tank
  • Pumping remaining fuel over from competitor tanks
  • All parts, fittings, and labor to connect tank to service line up to the first stage regulator. 
  • Tank sizes, placements, and quantities will be determined by Ferrellgas based on historical demand with a minimum total storage capacity of 500 gallons and a maximum total capacity of 4000 gallons. If Ferrellgas increases current capacity requiring an increase in distance from structures for operational efficiency purposes, Ferrellgas will absorb the financial burden to extend the service line. If the current placement needs to be changed due to access or safety concerns for delivery, the customer will hold the financial obligation. In this Event, Ferrellgas will reach out to the customer to discuss options and how to proceed.
  • Any required changes(if any) for the installation to meet current Federal, State, and local codes will be the financial obligation of the customer. In this Event, Ferrellgas will reach out to the customer to discuss options and how to proceed.

• Annual Lease-$50 per tank (First year is waived)
