Baldwin, GA (September 1, 2026) – The GBI has arrested and charged Whitni Brooke Davis, age 35, of Cornelia, GA, with five counts of Computer Forgery. Davis is the former City of Baldwin Staff Accountant.

On Wednesday, February 11, 2026, the Baldwin Police Department requested the GBI to conduct a forgery investigation involving Davis. During the investigation, agents determined that Davis created, altered, or deleted information on multiple documents in an effort to purchase a $1.7 million home. She utilized the City of Baldwin’s bank account as proof of funds for the home.

Davis was arrested on August 31, 2026, and booked into the Habersham County Detention Center.
